At this talk, I will be speaking about my book, Out of the Box: Building Robots, Transforming Lives and how my engineering education from KU has helped to transform my life and find purpose in helping to train the next generation of engineers and computer scientists. I will recount my journey to KU from Junction City, Kansas to becoming a national leader in robotics education and founder of the first all-women, African American RoboCup humanoid robot soccer team.
